Down To Earth

The game in this stage is quite simple, chase the Earth and beware of the asteroids (they are 1600!) that can make you loose orientation. If you manage to hit the Earth, you won :)

Sidenote

This is my first project in Unreal Engine, and I've really enjoyed these days in which I had to jump in and actually make something. Having a deadline so strict has been a big challenge to overcome and, even with a lot of commitment, I didn't have enough time to finish a version of the game that was acceptable.

I still wanted to upload it because I would like to get some advices or comments about it, I have a lot of ideas on how to expand the game, like:

• If you get close to Earth there is already a laser beam being fired in place, that will cause damage and make your Comet crumble progressively (I did a Destructible mesh BP, and was almost working already)
• The Earth could generate a shield that is impenetrable at intervals
• Asteroids are being pulled by your gravity when you fly by them, that could be expanded as a way to make an armor for your Comet and increase your power/weight 
• Earth could have satellites/orbital drones that could detect you from longer distances than the surface lasers
• ecc...
